A few more interesting links; happy exploring!
Sawangboran - a coopeative of weaves in Thailand working with real, traditional Thai silk. Started by an English anthropologist, now living in a Thai village, again we met them at the EFF Source Expo. We had a really interesting conversation about the potential responsibility and pitfalls of starting such a social enterprise and on finding a balance between development of skill and craft and manipulating cultural ideas. This site is well worth a look, although it doesn't have many images of the work the explanations of the way the project has developed in relation to a commercial market are very interesting.
O ECOTEXTILES - an American company who have developed a range of luxury, sustainable interiors fabrics.
